OLIMP CREAPURE CITRATE - micronised creatine citrate – is a unique combination of creatine with Krebs cycle intermediates (in order to increase the solubility and biological assimilability of creatine molecule). The Krebs cycle is the final common route on which larger organic energy molecules of the cell (carbohydrates, fatty acids, and amino acids) converge in order to ultimately produce ATP (adenosine triphosphate). Organic citric acid is an intermediate in the Krebs cycle and along with an increase in its concentration, the number of ATP molecules produced increases. Creatine citrate is much more efficiently transformed into the active form - phosphocreatine, because citrate molecules deliver hydrogen atoms (reducing equivalents) for the oxidative chain reactions, which increases phosphocreatine production.
